How Holzmodem works

Holzmodem follows a simple principle: build it, use it ourselves, then sell it. Every extension, theme and service runs in our own operation first. Only when it works reliably there do we offer it.

Our principles

• Security and stability before features. One feature less beats one risk more.
• Privacy by principle. Self-hosted services in German data centres, cookieless analytics, no ad trackers.
• Open standards. We rely on open-source software so your data stays portable.
• Support in writing. Tickets, email and Discord instead of phone calls – every request stays traceable.

Where we are heading

We want to build a community of freelancers, IT people and hobby admins who help each other. That is why we are planning tutorials, videos on YouTube and open guides in our wiki. In the long run we want Holzmodem to support projects for people, animals and the environment – planting trees, for example.
